Kolkata: Covid-19 Tally West Bengal rose to 16.04.975 as 782 more people were tested positive for infection on Monday, 93 less than the previous day, said a health bulletin.
Corena Coronavirus’s death increased to 19,319 when five more patients gave up on infection, two less than Sunday.
Thirteen fatalities are recorded on Saturday.
However, the level of participation rose to 2.88% from 2.13% on Sunday, while the number of Daily Covid-19 tests fell to 27,115 from 41,156 the previous day, he said.
Kolkata recorded 216 new cases, 22 less than Sunday, followed by 24 parganes at 123.
This has registered 140 infections the previous day.
Fresh deaths were reported in Kolkata, North Korea 24 parganas, 24 parganas, Paschim Bardhaman and Nadia.
The country now has 8,047 active cases, while 15,77,609 people have recovered from the disease so far, including 792 on Monday, said the bulletin, adding that the recovery rate reached 98.29 percent.
Administration has tested more than 1.97 crore samples for Covid-19 to date.
