Kolkata: Madhyamik 2022 will be carried out with a reduced syllabus, like that in 2021.
In the notification issued on Tuesday by the State Secondary Education Council of President Kalyanmoy Ganguly, all schools and students were told that the syllabus of all subjects – and both languages, mathematics, Physical, life science, history, and geography – has been reduced by 30% -35%.

In November last year, the Country Syllabus Reform Committee recommended that the Madhyamic and HS syllabus was cut during a pandemic because there was no detained physical class and a prominent digital divide.

Saugata Basu, Secretary General, the Association of West West Government School Teachers, said, “Like the previous year, the syllabus has been reduced by 30% -35%.
Suddenly cutting short syllabus cannot be a solution but will compromise with academic standards.”
