Kolkata: The West Bengal government collects Rs 10,500 Crores in the first quarter of the current financial year through state securities auctions and state development loans, according to official data.
The state government raised the 10,000 crore Rs in the same period last year.
The amount raised in the current quarter through auction carried out by the Reserve Bank of India is below the estimate of the 14,000 crore Rs provided by the state government.
“On Tuesday, the West Bengal government raised the RS 2,500 Crore through the RBI auction window at a coupon level of 6.79 percent,” said the analyst ratings attention.
Meanwhile, 20 states and the United States collected a total of 1,44,550 crore rs in Q1 FY22.
Loans by the state government in the quarter reviewed 14 percent less than that at Q1 FY21, the word treatment ranks in a note.
