Kolkata: Twenty eight hours after a 18-year-old student missing from his Rajarhat house, the police and family members managed to track it with the help of social media.
Realizing that the young man was lost from home and that he had turned off his cellphone, his family who was worried about circulating post on social media platforms such as Facebook and Whatsapp with photos, descriptions, clothing and youth telephone numbers.
The post became viral on the social media platform.
Someone admitted the young man from the post at Krishnanagar Station was 95km, who then called his parents and gave the existence of the young man.
The officer of the Narayanpur police station and his parents reached there and took him home on Tuesday night.
The police said young people had told his family that he had left his own home after several personal problems.
When Tii contacted his family members, they refused to discuss the incident when he returned home safely.
