Kolkata: Trinamool Congress Monday celebrates ‘Khela Hobe Divas’ in West Bengal, as the leader of the party observes the day by regulating football matches in every corner and corner of the country.
This event aims to promote sports and as a sign of respect for 16 people who have died in a raid during a soccer match in Kolkata today in 1980.
TMC Supremo and Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee was announced that August 16 was observed as ‘Khela Hobe Divas’ .
‘Khela Hobe’ (will play) is the cry of the TMC battle during the highest octane assembly poll in April-May this year, when the party defeated BJP to invade back to West Bengal for the third consecutive time.
TMC, who wants to increase its national footprint, also makes Mega’s plan to mark the day in various parts of the country, including Tripura, where it has directed a lot of energy in 2023 assembly of polls.
“‘Khela Hobe Divas’ is being observed in all states.
In other parts of the country too, we have a plan to regulate events.
However, in some countries ruled by BJP, we were not given permission.
We are still pursuing problems with the authorities,” said Secretary General of the State of TMC Kunal Ghosh.
The West Bengal government also established programs in various stadiums and football distribution to various clubs.
Meanwhile, BJP voiced his opposition to ‘Khela Hobe Divas’, claiming that the Muslim League had launched the day of direct action and began the murder of a large Calcutta in 1946 on August 16.
The Safron party has decided to observe the day as ‘Paschimbongo Bachao Divas’ (Save West Bengal Day).
