Kolkata: syllabus for the 10th grade council exam in 2022 will decrease substantially, Bengali West Secondary Education Council was announced.
The teacher said that the decision was taken because there was no class held on the school campus for more than a year due to Covid-19 pandemic.
In a statement, the Board said on Tuesday there would be a reduction of 30-35 percent in the curriculum of all seven subjects for grade 10 students to appear in the Madhyamik Pariksha next year.
The decision has been taken to the knowledge of the principal, teachers and students from all affiliated schools, he said.

The principal in a state-run school in Jadavpur said students faced difficulties due to class suspension on campus, and online classes were less than enough for the average students to complete the entire syllabus.
“In such situations, the Board has made a pragmatic decision,” he said.
