Karachi: The Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday confirmed that West Indies will play three international T20 and as many ODIS as possible in Karachi from December 13-22.
The tour to Pakistan will be the first for the Caribbean team since April 2018 when they played three T20i, though, with the side drained because most of the main players came out of the tour.
“After missing in the International House in September and October, West Indies’ tour will officially start an artistic and entertaining international cricket season in Pakistan with the Pakistani Super League series 2022 and a complete series of Australia to follow,” PCB Chairman Ramiz said King.
“I hope that NCOC will support this series by allowing the maximum crowd so that fans can watch their favorite players directly and support both parties.” Confirmation by the West Indies Council will be relieved for PCB after a sudden withdrawal from the New Zealand team from the white ball series in September when they returned home without playing.
British cricket board and Wales also chose a short tour to Pakistan.
West Indies will play ODIS in Pakistan for the first time since December 2006.
Odi is part of the fourth series of Pakistan in the Super League, who will see the top seven sides and Indian hosts meet the direct requirements for the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023.
The remaining two sides will develop from the qualification event.
