Western Bengal School, College to Reopen From November 16: Mamata

Kolkata: Bengal Head of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee on Monday said schools and colleges in the state will be reopened from November 16, after a gap of about 20 months, and directed the main secretary to facilitate the process.
Officials of the school education department said the government would issue notices to continue teaching classes from nine to 12.
The decision about the reopening of the school for another class will then depend on the Covid-19 situation that appears, the official said.
The plan is being covered up to continue the physical class in college, said a source at the State Secretariat.

“Open school and college from November 16.
Before that, you have to do cleaning there and other steps,” Banerjee told HK Dwive’s Chief Secretary at an administrative review meeting at Uttar Kanya, the Branch Secretariat of the State Government in northern Bengal .
The minister’s chairman said earlier that day that educational institutions would be reopened from November 15.
“Previously, I said educational institutions would be reopened on November 15.
But because it was a holiday (warning the birth of Tribal Freedom Fighter Birsa), the school will now be reopened on November 16,” he said.
Schools and colleges in the state have been closed since the plague of Pandemi Covid-19 in March last year.
“According to the preliminary plan, junior class students until grade 8 will continue to have online classes and they do not need to be present at school physically.
The plan is being made to reopen college,” a very high source at the State Secretariat told by PTI.
Meanwhile, doctors and education welcome the decision to reopen educational institutions.
“Children with enthusiasm waiting for schools to be reopened.
It is necessary for a long time.
But we also do not have to forget the precautions needed to be taken for children who attend physical classes,”

Famous gastroenterologists Dr.
Abhijit Chowdhury said.
Senior doctor Dr.
Syamasis Bandyopadhyay said, “Online class like playing children.
I thank Cm for making a positive decision.
Children have passionately waiting for schools and colleges to reopen.
Now after the decision was made, I believe that.
will help them a lot.

Education said the institution must be opened gradually.
“Students have suffered a lot because of the closure of the campus of educational institutions for more than one and a half years.
The decision by CM is accepted.
But because the Covid situation is still not lost and there is an increase in infection in the state, we need to move carefully.
Schools must be opened in a way Gradual, “said Education Nrisingha Prasad Bhaduri.
The Principal at Manimala High School in Asansol in Paschim Barhaman District Ranjana Roy Choudhury said higher and lower class students must be allowed to attend classes on different days to avoid crowding.
Principal Kolkata Jadavpur Vidyapith, Parimal Bhattacharya, said the school administration had begun steps to clean the place before the Puja holiday.
“We plan to start a higher class in the group and make seating settings accordingly.
We will go with the notification of the school education department,” he added.
Siuli Sarkar, Principal of Lady Brabourne College in Kolkata, “We are ready to open our campus for offline classes where students will sit down to maintain distance and in small batches.
We will decide on modalities after government orders are issued.”
