Nagpur: Most of Vidarbha has witnessed unprecedented winter rainfall since the last two days.
The weather office has linked this with the circulation of the top air cyclone that is induced lying in Haryana and North Madhya Pradesh.
Heavy rain painted Nagpur and other parts of the region on Tuesday afternoon.
In accordance with the data of the regional meteorology (RMC), the city receives rainfall of 28.8 millimeters (mm) until 5:30 a.m.
on Tuesday.
Further data showed that Gadchiroli was written in the area on Monday after receiving 51.2mm rain.
Bramhapuri recorded 18.4mm while Nagpur received 0.5mm rainfall on the same day.
Also, Ballarpur in the Chandrapur district recorded 90mm rainfall, while Chamorshi at Gadchiroli and Deoli in Wardha recorded 66mm and with rainfall of 10.7mm respectively until 8:30 a.m.
on Tuesday.
The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued yellow weather warnings that predicted storms with lighting and light until moderate rainfall for several parts of the area in the next two days.
According to Deputy Director General of RMC ML Sahu Metrology, Western disruption over Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir have caused the formation of cyclone circulation above Haryana and North MP.
“Because of this, Vidarbha receives strong winds from both regions.
Strong wind meeting over the territory together with excessive humidity causes rainfall.
The higher the increase in the wind, the stronger is rainfall,” said Sahu to Ti.
Depending on meteorological conditions, some places in Vidarbha receive rain while some hail.
The meeting department has also published Hail forecasts for several districts.
While the rainfall has caused a mercury level increase, meeting officials has predicted swimming again as soon as they stopped.
“After the circulation ends and the level of humidity is reduced, the area will get colder.
The minimum temperature will start to fall to 12-13 degrees Celsius or even more,” added Sahu.
On Tuesday, the minimum nagpur temperature was 17.5 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 22.5 degrees Celsius.
The highest minimum temperature in this region is 17.7 degrees Celsius recorded in Akola.
Washim is the hottest district in Vidarbha with a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.
