Jalandhar: The factor that works for captain Amarinder Singh in 2015, that he can get support from several MLA to build pressure on the high command party to get Partap Singh Bajwa replaced when the president of Punjab Congress, now works for Navjot Singh Sidhu.
This is a perception between MLA and prospective candidates that Sidhu can help them win their seats in the 2022 Assembly election which has made them welcome his appointment as president of PCC despite Amarinder’s serious objection.
In 2015, they believed that Amarinder, not Bajwa, could lead them to victory.
Amarinder enjoyed such support from the MLA Party and other senior leaders in wasolated by Bajwa and high command forced to replace them.
However, CM now faces anti-breeders and some questions about their government work.
The same set of MLA and several ministers, especially the Majha Brigade of the Three Ministers, who are at the forefront of regulating support for him in 2015, has now sided with Sidhu for the same reason.
