Patna: Students from the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), who have passed their class XII exams recently, may find it difficult to get entries to Patna University.
As a result of the signs of signs to the candidates for the Central Educational Council (CBSE) and the Board for inspection of the Indian School Certificate (CISCE) based on internal evaluation at the school level, BSEB students get less than others.
Now, they are in a dilemma because PU has decided to recognize new students based on their sign.
Arida Hassan, a Science student from Khizarsarai-based Rampyari Middle School, has scored 72.7% in his class XII exam.
The girl, who came from a humble background, always dreamed of studying in Mahila College Magadh.
However, the “low” percentage has destroyed all his hopes.
“Unlike CBSE students and Cisce, BSEB candidates write their XII class exam .
“A trading student, Sugandha Kumari, urged PU to carry out the entrance test for” fair acceptance “.
“Even though I scored 94.2% in class XII, there were many CBSE students and Cisce who got better value than me without taking the exam,” he urged.
According to sources, the CBSE toppers received 98.6% (science), 98.8% (art), and 99% (trade) in class XII.
Cisce’s colleagues received 99.75% (science), 98.75% (art), and 99.25% (trade).
However, BSEB toppers scored 94.2% in the three streams this year.
This clearly shows that there is a large gap in the sign obtained by the toppers of three boards.
Deputy Chancellor of Public Works, Girish Kumar Chaudhary, showed that the university gave them a preference to those who had scored more, regardless of their council.
“We are not authorized to give extra value to BSEB students,” he said.
