HYDERABAD: The Telangana high court on Tuesday requested the state authorities to spell out the measures it’s taken to rein in the hospitals in exploiting on households in the title of Covid-19 therapy and penalise the errant physicians.
The court delivered 24 hours to the manager of public health (DPH) to notify it to the amount of instances where the government has regained extra money from the hospitals to collecting exorbitant fees against Covid-19 patients.
The judges said it wasn’t reasonable to leave the public to legal remedies when they sold their golden and possessions to appeal to the urgency of the hospitals at the next wave of pandemic.
A seat of Chief Justice Hima Kohli and Justice B Vijaysen Reddy stated this after going by an affidavit filed by DPH Dr G Srinivasa Rao, who advised the court on115 show-cause finds issued to errant hospitals.
“It’s okay to issue show-cause finds out, but inform us the attempts that you made to provide justice to the families that are exploited.
Allow the manager of this public health seem before us on Wednesday almost and clarify the actions taken up to now,” the judges stated encompassing urge overall BS Prasad.
The judges resuming the hearing at the Covid-19 heap of PILs were miserable with all the imperfect affidavit filed by Dr Srinivasa Rao who neglected to answer several questions raised by them in the previous hearing.
Senior counselor L Ravi Chander and urge Chikkudu Prabhakar doubted the knowledge at cancelling the permit of a few of the hospitals to provide Covid-19 therapy.
“If they’re found guilty of wrongdoing, then they need to go lock, stock and barrel and also they shouldn’t stay in the area whatsoever,” they stated.
The judges stated it is much better to create them shell out extra money.
