Meta (formerly known as Facebook) has submitted a new patent application with the World Intellectual Property Organization for the first smartwatch.
Lingsgo Digital has seen an official patent application published by WIPO on January 13, 2022.
The patent application shows many designs for SmartWatch.
One design displays a rectangular display, while the other displays a round display.
In addition, these two designs display a removable display and three default cameras that will include macro, telephoto and wide angle lenses.
Meta SmartWatch will also come up with support for other displays that can be exchanged with the main display.
Also, the display block that can be removed, according to the patent application, will display several camera sensors.
Images of the patent application indicate that the display will be secured using several magnets placed on a watch base housing that will be attached to the rope.
The round version of this watch is also expected to come up with several types of mechanisms that can be played to allow users to use the camera they want.
The patent application clarifies that the camera must be set at 12 o’clock to use it and after the camera is set at 12, another camera will not be used.
SmartWatch will also display several fitness features and sports that include activity tracking, heart rate monitor, body temperature sensor.
In addition, Meta is also expected to add IR sensors, motion and sensors in the introduction of other activities.
Finally, smartwatch is likely to be compatible with VR and AR systems.
The patent application reveals many interesting features about the first meta smartwatch.
But, it feels too optimistic.
Applying some cameras set on the device that will be very complicated.
Considering Meta is not the most ‘noble’ brand when it comes to user data and privacy, having several cameras set on SmartWatch will increase more concern among users.
