Meta-owned WhatsApp reportedly plans to bring new security features for desktop and web users.
According to a report by Wabetainfo, instant chat platform which can carry two-step verification on the web / desktop.
For them unaware, verify two steps is an optional feature that adds more security for your WhatsApp account.
Two-step verification This pin is different from the 6-digit registration code that you received via SMS or phone call.
It is necessary when you log in to your WhatsApp account and especially aimed at preventing unauthorized access.
When you enable two step verification, you have the option to enter your email address.
This allows whatsapp to send an email containing a re-link if you forget your PIN, and also help keep your account.
Currently available on the WhatsApp cellular application.
Wabetainfo’s report said that WhatsApp plans to bring this feature for web / desktop clients.
They will be able to activate and disable verification of two steps from their laptop.
This feature will be useful in the case of users losing the phone or do not remember the two-step verification of the pin.
They will be able to return it by asking for a reset link.
This new feature is expected to be launched for the Web and Desktop users with future updates.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp reportedly tested the ability to import chat from Android to the IOS running cellphone.
The company has launched a feature to migrate chat history from iOS to Samsung and mobile pixel last year.
WhatsApp feature Tracker Wabetainfo has seen features on beta WhatsApp for Android 2.21.20.11.
This will allow users to transfer their chat from an Android device with the one that runs on iOS.
