New Delhi: Facebook-owned WhatsApp has launched a new and useful feature, which will allow users to join group calls according to their convenience.
WhatsApp has introduced new features that will allow users to join group videos or voice calls after starting.
Features called combined calls “Reduce the load answering group calls because they start, and bring spontaneity and conversation ease in-people for the group calling on WhatsApp,” said the company in a blog post.
Just like Zoom and Google Meet, whatsApp users will also be able to join the ongoing group call.
This feature also allows users to drop-off or rejoin during a call.
“We have also made a call info screen so you can see who is in a call, and that has been invited but hasn’t joined.
And, if you press ‘ignore’ you can join then from the call tab on WhatsApp,” Facebook said.
When you receive a group video call, the WhatsApp WhatsApp video call screen will show the participants who are currently present on the call and the first contact listed will be the participant who adds you.
The company also confirms that the call that can be hung is end-to-end encrypted equally with your personal chat.
Recently, WhatsApp launched a new multi-device feature.
This feature allows WhatsApp users to operate one account through different devices simultaneously and independently.
This means that if you use a multi-device feature, you will be able to use a companion device that is linked without the need to save your cellphone.
This feature is currently in beta and is being tested with a small set of users.
Beta App users WhatsApp and WhatsApp on the Android and iOS operating system can choose it.
By using this feature, you will be able to use WhatsApp on up to four companion devices at once.
