WhatsApp users might get new features that will help them find the closest business easily.
According to a report by Wabetainfo, a platform that tracks the upcoming features on the messaging platform, WhatsApp can get a new section called a nearby business.
As the name suggests, users will be able to see restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and others in separate parts.
However, it is not clear whether the user will be able to order directly from WhatsApp or can only see contact details, locations, and other information.
The report said that this feature was seen in WhatsApp Beta for Android but it would likely come on the iPhone too.
This feature is under development and no date confirmed for its launch.
Meanwhile, the WhatsApp business account received a new shortcut to reply to messages quickly.
Available for iOS and Android Beta users, WhatsApp has added a new shortcut on the chat menu Share action.
New options can be seen along with the camera library, photos & videos, catalogs, and other options when the user knocks on the ‘+’ sign for the iPhone and attachment marks for Android.
This will allow beta business users WhatsApp to quickly reply to the message.
Quick Answer Features is available for WhatsApp Business accounts.
It can be activated by pressing ‘/’ on the keyboard.
They can then choose a message from the list to be sent to the customer.
WhatsApp recently activates new features to protect users, “preventing unknown contacts to get your last view and online status if you never chat with them.” This new feature eliminates the ability of certain applications in the App Store and the Google Play Store to check the last visible status or online from certain contacts in WhatsApp.
Unless the user chatts actively with someone or if they chat with that person, they will not be able to check the status last visible or online.
With this feature, no unknown person can be able to see when you are last seen on WhatsApp or your online status.
