WhatsApp was reported to be prepared to launch a new beta update for iOS users.
Version 2.22.1.1 will be the first beta platform for the new year.
As seen by Wabetainfo, updates come with hidden references about features that will allow users to create communities in future updates.
Similar hidden references were also seen in beta updates released for Android smartphones two weeks ago.
For those who do not know, Facebook’s message platform has worked on community features for a while.
Now, according to the latest screenshot distributed by Wabetainfo, a community has a name and description, as seen in the group.
After entering the name and description, the user will get an option to create a new group or link up to 10 groups.
The ‘announcement’ group was also seen in the community.
This report shows that WhatsApp will automatically create this group for admin.
Using this group admin will share messages to all linked groups.
The next report reveals that when users join the community, they will not be able to see the group that has been deducted.
In addition, when users leave the community, they will not be able to see the group that is linked to the community again.
This feature will be very similar to how several channels are regulated under the umbrella dispute community.
WhatsApp has not revealed official details about this feature but the report shows that it will require a lot of time until it is launched to the public.
Facebook’s platform is also reported to work on new animated heart emojis for Android and iOS users.
At present, when users send red liver emojis, they see the animation where the heart seems to be beaten.
The animation effect is only limited to red emoji heart but a report by Wabetainfo suggests that WhatsApp works to add animated effects to more emojis.
According to the report, the platform will immediately introduce the same animation for all other heart emojis.
WhatsApp currently has nine heart emojis including the animation.
