WhatsApp recently expanded the beta multi-device support for the call and message platform.
Support expansion allows users to link secondary devices via WhatsApp Web to the main WhatsApp account that runs on the smartphone and sends or receives messages and calls without the need to connect to the Internet.
This feature is still in beta and users who want to test features, must join a beta multi-device program from within the application.
At present, WhatsApp also offers options to opt out of the Beta program.
Waretainfo now reports that WhatsApp has sent new updates version 2.21.23.10 through the Google Play Beta program.
According to reports, multi-device support will soon be a mandatory feature in future updates.
Wabethainfo reports that the option to choose out of the multi-device support program has been removed for users in beta version 2.21.23.10.
That means it might come out of beta in the update and become a permanent feature.
After WhatsApp Beta version 2.21.23.10 directly, the user will not have the option to leave the program.
It implies that whatsapp is all ready to make mandatory multi-device support and it is likely to slide to everyone on the platform.
How will this affect the user? At present, this feature is in beta and with options to select and exit the beta program.
This means users have their free will in choosing whether they want to register for the program or now.
However, with deleted features, users will not have the option to leave the program again.
Also, users who have used features will come out of all the devices that are linked and must enter again, according to the Wabetainfo report.
This change seems to be a slow launch for our multi-device option in the application still visible and we have the option to opt out of the beta program.
