Features between Facebook-owned platforms – Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger – Crossover quite often.
It seems like one Instagram feature comes to WhatsApp.
According to a report by Wabetainfo, the instant message platform is testing the ‘waveform’ in sending voice messages.
Waretainfo tracks new and upcoming features at WhatsApp and has seen features being tested.
The waveforms feature is already on Instagram and it shows users of real-time sound waves when they record voice messages.
Users will also have the option to stop recording and listen to voice messages before sending it – something that is currently not available.
This feature has been seen in whatsapp updates in the future – not clear which – so it is not yet publicly available.
Waretainfo noted that this feature was under development on WhatsApp Beta for Android and iOS.
WhatsApp recently launched a new feature for voicemail that will allow you to speed up voice mail playback.
With the help of this feature, users can rotate 1x, 1.5x or even 2x voice messages, according to WhatsApp.
This feature has begun to take refuge in India too and has arrived in many smartphones that have been with new Whatsapp updates.
Another feature that has a lot of awaited that comes to WhatsApp is multi-device support.
With this, users will be able to install applications on up to four devices listed under one account.
According to Wabetainfo, although it does not mention that users will be able to connect other phones to their WhatsApp account, this will happen and “it might be updated in the future.” After the multi-device feature is launched and activated, all devices that enter with the account will receive a message.
Furthermore, all previous actions such as starring the message, archiving chat will also synchronize on all devices.
