New Delhi: WhatsApp recently launched a widely awaited data transfer feature that will allow users to transfer their data from Android to iOS and vice versa.
Now it seems the Popular Message application works on other features that will allow users to view updates their contact status through their profile images.
Wabetainfo, a Twitter account that tracks changes in WhatsApp Build has reported about this upcoming feature.
According to Wabetainfo, this new feature is being developed and visible in the latest version of the Android version 2.21.17.5 code from the application.
At present, there is a separate tab in the application, where you can see updates your contact status.
However, with the development of this new feature, usersapp users will now be able to tap their contact profile images to see their status.
When the user knocks on the profile image, WhatsApp will give them the option box that asks if they want to see status updates or profile drawings.
Users can choose the status update option to view certain contact status.
At present, it is not clear when the company will launch this new feature to the user.
Meanwhile, whatsapp prohibits two million Indian accounts when receiving 345 complaint reports between May 15 and June 15, the company said in its inaugural compliance report as mandated by IT rules.
WhatsApp clarified that more than 95% of such ribbons were caused by the use of unauthorized automatic bulk messages (spam).
