Last month, WhatsApp launched a new privacy feature that gave more control to Android users registered in the Beta program.
The company calls the features of “my contact except”.
Now, according to reports by Wabetainfo, Facebook’s platform has launched a beta version 2.2149.1 for web users and is preparing to launch the privacy feature for more users.
For those who do not know, the privacy feature allows users to control who can see the last visible photo, status, profile and about the description on WhatsApp.
This feature can be accessed under privacy settings.
The application already has an option like everyone, my contact and nothing.
With new features, users can choose contacts that they don’t want to share information like the last visible, profile photo, status and about descriptions with.
Contacts not selected by users will not be able to see new changes and information.
According to Wabetainfo, beta testers cannot see and choose “My contact except” on the WHATSAPP web, even if the feature has been activated for their WhatsApp account.
The report also shows that the company is likely to launch a feature for web users when it has fully launched the same features in Android and iOS beta.
Earlier this week, WhatsApp launched Beta UWP 2.2148.3.7 or Windows application.
With renewal, the company has added new emojis on the platform.
This emoji is available on Android and iOS devices.
Facebook’s platform now also allows users to make a combination of skin tones for Emoji pairs on the Windows Universal platform application as well.
Recently, this feature was also launched for Android users with beta updates.
Previously, the feature was only available for Apple iPhone users.
