Agra: Staff at the District Hospital in Agra found themselves in a confusing situation on Friday, when a priest came wailing with a request to wrap a broken arm from Lord Krishna’s idol.
The staff was faced with a priest who came confused at the hospital which urged them to attend the god’s idol, whose arm he accidentally went bankrupt while bathing in the morning.
After several reluctance, the hospital registration on behalf of ‘Shri Krishna’ and also canceled the idol arm again.
A video from Imam who was crying with the idol of ‘Laddu Gopal’ – a form of childhood from the god – with a broken arm also circulating on social media.
According to several eyewitnesses, the priest reached the district hospital around 9 in the morning and insisted that hospital staff tended to idol.
Imam Lekh Singh said he broke the idol when he reached it.
“When I prayed in the morning and gave a bath to the idol of God, the idol slipped and his arm was broken,” he said.
“I was very touched because I was tied to God.
In my despair, I went to the district hospital to worship him,” he said.
Lekh Singh said he was a priest at the Pathwari Temple in the Chherry Mod, Arjun Nagar, for the past 30 years.
“No one received my request seriously at the hospital.
I broke from the inside and began to cry for my Lord,” he said.
The priest was also accompanied by locals, eyewitnesses.
Dr.
Ashok Kumar Agrawal, the head of the medical supervisor at the District Hospital, told PTI that he was told by the hospital that a priest came with idols with a broken arm and cried to be treated.
He said considering the sentiment of their priests made registration on behalf of ‘Shri Krishna’ for idols.
“We also eraday idols for Imam’s satisfaction,” Agrawal said.
