ALWAR: The video showing the chopping of three legs of a dog recently had jolted everyone and actor John Abraham was no exception.
Abraham, who said he could not sleep the whole night after seeing the video, has thanked Alwar police for immediately arresting the culprits.
The actor spoke to SP Alwar and on the request of police, shot a video message saying animal cruelty is a crime.
“He called me and said after seeing the video, he could not sleep for the whole night.
He asked for the progress of the case and we informed him that two culprits had been arrested,” SP Tejaswini Gautam said on Thursday.
The SP requested the actor to send her a video appeal for the public to which the actor obliged.
“We have posted his video on our Alwar police Twitter page for the public.
Actors are revered in India and people always pay heed to what they say.
Thus, we requested him to send an appeal asking people not to indulge in any kind of cruelty against animals and he was kind enough to send us the video,” the SP added.
In the video Abhraham says, “I have seen a video in which a dog whose legs were chopped off.
The video was from Alwar.
After seeing the video, I was so disturbed that I could not sleep for the whole night.
Then I spoke to the Alwar SP Tejaswini Gautam and I was told that the culprits were arrested and I am thankful to her.
I appeal if you see any such incident please share it with police and cooperate with them.” “Animals want your love only, nothing else,” the actor said.
The incident had taken place under Reni police station area of Alwar in which police arrested Babu Lal and Midyaram Meena.
