Raj Kundra has recently opened up against ex-wife Kavita after her controversial interview calling Shilpa Shetty a homemaker went viral.
Back in 2009, when Kavita had leveled allegations against Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra had an out of court settlement to clear the ‘Dhadkan’ actress’ name from the controversy.
He reportedly gave a lot of money to ex-wife Kavita to write a letter that stated that Shilpa Shetty was not involved or responsible for their divorce.

Speaking about the same, Raj had then told Mumbai Mirror, “The divorce happened last year (2008).
However, the case for the financial settlement was still going on.
I was not ready to settle it outside court.
I knew I could go ahead; get married and the case would still go on.
But Kavita realised that it was pointless and she wanted an out of court settlement.
I made it very clear that if she wanted an out of court settlement, she would have to give me in writing that Shilpa had nothing to do with the divorce.”

Recently while speaking to ETimes, Raj revealed that he is not in touch with Kavita or their daughter.
“I have never spoken to Kavita and I never want to.
I tried reaching out to my daughter via her family members but they couldn’t get me access or straight answers.
I know she will come and find me when the time is right.
I only saw her for her first 40 days and then I moved to India after my marriage to Shilpa.
Kavita didn’t want me near my child.
Courts also favoured the mother at that age,” Raj had shared.
More than a decade after their separation, Raj had revealed that his mother caught his ex-wife and sister’s husband red handed, in compromising situations many times.
