When the case rises, East Singhbhum Frets over the border of porous Jharkhand

JAMSHEDPUR: Increase in the Covid-19 case in eight rural blocks in the district close to Bengal and Odisha Borders have forced officials to compile fresh blueprints to contain viruses.
Along with the increasing examination of 14 examination points between countries, porous areas near the border are being identified to oversee the movements of villagers from side by side.
“Active cases are reported regularly from rural blocks.
Therefore we tried to detect alleged Covid-19 operators who came to districts from outside,” said Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) Sahir Pall.
The official said the tracking and testing was followed by treatment would increase in villages near the border between countries covering eight Baharagora rural blocks, Chakulia, Patamda, Potka, Dhalbhumh, Dumaria, Ghatshila and Musboni.
Since the start of Pandemi last year, Ghatshila has reported 1,563 cases while the Musaboni registered 1,507 cases and 994 cases.
While Chakulia reported 929 cases, Patamda (854), Baharagora (811), Dhalbhumgarh (724) and Dumaria (677).
In particular, 43% of cases in East Singhbhum Regency were reported from rural blocks in the first 10 days of July.
Official data shows that of the 119 Covid cases reported in the district between July 1-10, the rural block share is 52.
“There are no reports of outstation visitors who test positive in 20 days.
Therefore we focus on tracking and testing in villages to identify Local cases, “ACMO added.
He told that the district urban circle, which consisted of three Jamshedpur City Bodies, Mango and Jugsalai, had seen a quick decline in active cases.
Of the total 51,681 Covid-19 cases reported in the district until Saturday, urban circles contributed 43,622 cases while rural areas reported 8,059 cases.
