Kolkata: The emergence of Ravi Kumar as a new world cup hero under 19 is not only the result of his own hard work but also because of the sacrifice of his CRPF father, who spends most of his life serving the country.
The 18-year-old from Aligarh on Saturday was scratched by four goals to play an important role when India beat England with four noves to lift the coveted U-19 World Cup trophy.
“Hum Goli Chalake Desh Seva Karte Hai, Aur Beta Ball Daal to,” (We fired bullets to protect our country, and my son served the country with bowling), “said father Ravi Assistant Sub-Inspector of Rajinder Singh, who is now posted in the camp CRPF in Ringgada District that is prone to Maois in Odisha.
Ravi almost toddlers when Singh was seriously injured at the 2006 Srinagar Grenade attack which killed one and injured 11 soldiers but he had never shared his trial and tribulation with his family.
Singh spent “almost his life” posted in the area – Srinagar area affected by militants but always ensure that his wife and three children live and sleep well.
“I always make sure that my family remains happy, without knowing the pain I experienced.
Even when I suffered a splinter injury on my legs and my arm, I didn’t tell them.
They only knew from the TV, “he remembered about a grenade attack.
The fame of his son at the Under-19 World Cup has now made Singh a lot of people sought in the CRPF camp.
Everything starts with a man ravi kumar-of -the-match shows against the last nemesis edition The last time they were taken at his momentum to return with 2/37 against Australia and in his final with Raj bring nine-goal sharing among them to establish their four-goal victory over England.
“Usually parents are worried about the study of their children and future careers They but this is my son who stands on his own legs and now makes a proud country, “Singh beamed.

So little I know a lot of how he entered the cricket.
Like other people about his age group, he is always busy playing cricket for fun.
“Then I learned that Arvind Bharadwah Ji had put it in a serious cricket and that’s how it was started for him 13-14 years ago,” Remember Singh.
“I was also initially worried because I had no money to support him in taking cricket as a career, but he was alone.
It showed the drive and commitment in him.
May he make a class (to the senior level),” he added.
It wasn’t easy for Ravi Kumar because he didn’t get a chance and had to take a Bengal De tour through the help of neighbors based in Kolkata.
Without thinking twice, Ravi moved to Kolkata and played Cricket’s second division before joining Woodrah Union and then Ballygunge United from where he was picked for Bengal below 19 years ago.
Incidentally, he was not part of the Indian Colts squad for Tri-Series – featuring India U-19 A, India U-19 B and Bangladesh U-19 – in a buildup to the U-19 World Cup here last December.
Over the past year, Ravi has worked a lot on his fitness and gained muscle mass to be arranged into the squad after other players were ruled out due to injury.
“He is always dedicated and committed.
Even while we are both separated by Miles most of the times, we talk through video calls every day.
He called me during dinner time,” Singh said.
“I always tell him that nothing above the country, we must give everything to ‘Bharat Eye’.
While I serve the country when fighting, your job is to win the match for Bowling ‘.”
