Kolkata: Taking advantage of dry weather in recent days, BMC has taken road repair work on some of the most damaged stretches in Salt Lake.
On Wednesday, the authority of the citizenship blocked the stretch of a long road behind Bhavan’s side of Bhavan near Karunamoyee to put the new bitumen layer on the battered surface.
Stretching, said the locals, has been severely damaged by craters and holes so far.
The citizenship authority has also put the new Bituminous surface on Jalan Stretch near Tank No.
9.
Road Patchwork has also started several worst lanes inside the block.
Stretching in the AB Blok Market was also repaired on Wednesday.
With the road conditions in Salt Lake deteriorated, civil authorities have taken road embroidery in several parts of the city a month again, especially on the track within the block using RS 30Crore funds approved by the government for BMC.
But the rain constantly stopped the work.
“With a break on the rain, we improve the most damaged stretch of funds using available funds,” said a citizenship official.
Civil authorities have provided detailed project reports to the state government to take repair of roads for the 41 BMC ward which includes Lake Salt and Rajarhat.
