Ludhiana: After the request repeatedly falls on deaf ears, residents have begun to build the road to Deg Sar Sahib Gurdwara in Kalani.
They said they took their work after waiting for years there was no result.
They have filled all the holes in and will publish the bitumen from Friday.
The residents of the nearest villages said the road had not been built since 2008 and of more than five years they have demanded its reconstruction.
They said it was only a two-km long stretch to Gurdwara, visited every month by Lakh.

For road construction, the Public Works Department has prepared an estimate of Rs 1.72 Crore in November 2020.
