WASHINGTON: The White House sought Monday to increase awareness of the national government’s newest expanded child tax credit, that will begin paying yearly in July to households with kids that are 17 years old and older.
Vice President Kamala Harris talked in a recreation center in Pittsburgh as part of a wider drive to market the application in partnership with churches, colleges and other associations.

The government has established the site with information for prospective recipients.

The tax charge is likely to be $3,000 per year per child between the ages of 6 and 17.
