NEW DELHI: World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Director for South East Asia, Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh on Sunday issued a note of warning since India is watching a’plateau’ in everyday Covid-19 instances, notifying individuals to get jabbed in the earliest available chance against the outbreak.
“Lesson learned out of that surge is free of price can we let down our guards.
We have to take #Covid19 vaccine in first available chance.
While we can not predict following spike but we could stop this, which we have to,”stated Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh.
“This explosion has set a massive burden on already defeated health services.
We are now seeing a plateau and just a decrease in cases in certain regions of India.
Bitterness has been of concern and struggle,” she added commending the Indian attempts and also advising people to stay cautious regarding the outbreak.
Meanwhile, India’s daily Covid-19 events continue to decrease further as 1,65,553 new infections were listed in the previous 24 hours, that the Union Health Ministry advised on Sunday.
As stated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), India on Sunday reported that the lowest single-day Covid-19 increase in 46 times with 1,65,553 instances reported in the previous 24 hours whereas 3,460 folks flocked to the Covid-19 disease carrying the whole Covid-related death toll on 3,25,972.
