CALANGUTE: Former Candidate Minister and Congress Michael Lobo on Sunday questioned why the Minister of Transportation Mauvin Godinho was silent about hiring an outstation taxi without a meter tariff by the Election Commission (EC) in Goa.
“Even though the Transportation Minister Godinho has not said a word about taxis outside the election commission.
How did the EC carry a taxi without meters? The rule is that only a taxi with meters can operate in Goa,” he said.
He accused that there was a scam in installing digital taxi meters in a taxi in Goa.
“The repaired taxi meter is a big scam by Godinho.
The meter for RS4.990 has been given to the taxi owner for RS11.300.
To clean this fraud, need to choose it,” Lobo told reporters on Sunday.
