New Delhi: The Delhi government not only increases the production of oxygen, storage and transportation infrastructure with the eyes in the third wave of Covid-19, but also installs a sophisticated system to provide a warning on cellular applications as such oxygen levels or pressure on the storage tank start to dip.
One hundred “remote telemetry units” will be installed in oxygen storage tanks and cryogenic tankers, which will allow remote monitoring at oxygen levels and pressure on the center database through web and cellular applications.
Not only does the hospital do not need to send SOS messages if a crisis occurs, but the system will also be able to predict oxygen demand based on the pattern of use.
“We will install this device in all our storage tanks rather than depending on individual phone calls when oxygen levels become critical.
It is important to have an automatic system and this telemetry unit will be part of it.
All of these devices will be installed in storage tanks in various parts of the city , but it will be able to ‘talk’ to the center database, “said a Delhi government official.
Each telemetry unit will have three channels, one for sensors that will measure oxygen levels, others for sensors to check tank pressure and differential pressure transmitters.
The unit will be connected with the center control center to monitor through software, including web and cellular applications, which will be developed specifically for this system.
Access to software will be limited only for some officials and personnel.
The system will send warning notifications ranging from low, important for empty, based on status reports sent by telemetry devices.
This will not only help in oxygen management and prevent the crisis immediately, but also help in determining the estimates based on the tank level and “intuitive dashboard”.
Daily tank status reports will be sent in a compatible format, including rechargeable history and consumption.
The digital telemetry unit will run on electricity with an eight-hour battery backup and can be accessed remotely through the geographical interface and mapping.
