New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday that Aligarh, known for producing the key to securing a house, it will now play an important role in securing the country’s border.
Speaking after placing the Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University Foundation in Aligarh, PM Modi said that India would not only be independent in terms of defense but also would be the main exporter in this sector.

In 2018, PM Modi has announced the formation of the defense industry corridor in Uttar Pradesh while inaugurating investor summit in Lucknow.
A total of 6 nodes – Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Jhansi and Lucknow – have been planned in the defense industry corridor.
The corridor will help make an independent state in the production of defense and promote ‘Make In India’.
The Prime Minister said that the defense corridor in Aligarh and the University of King Mahendra Pratap Singh would change the Western Pradesh Uttar.
