Japanese technology giant Sony has begun to make more PS4 units than originally planned, according to the report by Bloomberg.
The reason is that there is no available PS5 on the market and the company cannot produce bulk the next gene console due to the shortcomings of global chips.
Sony hopes that the move will help relieve requests for the PlayStation console and keep players in the PlayStation ecosystem.
According to the report, Sony told Most Partners that they planned to make PS4 units this year despite planning “to stop the assembly at the end of 2021.” In this way, Sony will be able to produce around 1 million PS4 units to fill the supply vacuum.
It can work to support the company because PS4 does not require the level of PS5 technology, players are familiar with consoles, costs are cheaper and easier to make.
Sony Playstation 5 arrived in June 2020.
Appears in a double tone design with a mixture of back and white – along with the blue LED lights that surround the air vent on the top.
There is a new Playstation logo in the upper and front front corner separate from home to finish 1-regular glossy and 1 type-c port.
The next generation console by Sony is present in two models: standard edition and digital edition.
However, the brand only made a former available for Indian consumers last year.
