Raipur: Slamming Bharatiya Janata Party-LED Center, Chief Minister Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday asked why the central government was hesitant to form a Joint Parliament Committee (JPC) in the issue of Rafale’s agreement.
“What is the reason behind the government in India about this? Rahul Gandhi has asked to form a Joint Parliament Committee (JPC) so if there is no violation, why did the government hesitate to form JPC?” Baghel said.
The Congress has accused that the government led by BJP fled the probe into this problem.
BJP National Spokesman Sambit Patra on Tuesday slams congress for alleged corruption in the Rafal agreement in the period between 2007 to 2012 following a new media report.
Congress said that the UPA government had negotiated the purchase of a Rafale fighter aircraft including technology transfer for RS 526.10 Crore after international tenders to get 126 aircraft.
The BJP-led government decided to buy 36 Rafale planes from the shelf.
