Why is the Covid-19 patient afraid of this hospital?

Covid patients are afraid of this hospital more than they are afraid of viruses and no one wants to be accepted here
When the second wave of Covid is at its peak and the oxygenated bed at a government hospital is not available for love or money, one Covid hospital, with facilities to treat critical covid patients, less.
Many patients assigned at this hospital by the BBMP war room, reached the door and returned.
They prefer to pay money and live in private hospitals, instead of utilizing this facility, which is free.

Reason? Hospital Name – Leprosy Hospital on Jalan Magadi.
By 2020, this hospital near Kranthifea Sangolli Rulanna Metro Station, was converted to Covid Hospital and 50 Covid patients treated here.
In the second wave, only two people – a woman and her two-year-old daughter – brave enough to check in here for treatment.
Obviously, stigma attached to leprosy is still valid.
According to the hospital medical staff, many Covid patients refused to enter the hospital for fear of catching leprosy.
We have all facilities.
Even though I don’t have all the details about the money spent on this hospital, I think more than Rs 10 Lakh is spent converting two blocks in this hospital to Covid facilities.
One block is for men and one for women from Ayub Ali Khan Zai, Administrative Medical Officer, Hospital Leprosy
Dr.
Job Ali Khan Zai, Administrative Medical Officer, Leprosy Hospital, said, “We have all the facilities.
Even though I don’t have all the details about the money spent on this hospital, I think more than Rs 10 Lakh is spent to convert two blocks on This hospital to Covid facilities.
One block is for men and one for women.

According to Prema Kumari, a nurse officer at this hospital, around 50 Covid patients were accepted here between September and December 2020 during the first wave of Coronavirus.
“We managed to treat a 85-year-old woman during the first wave of Coronavirus.
No one was treated in a male ward and only one woman and her daughter was treated in a female ward during the second wave of this year,” said Prema Kumari.
The hospital has 30 oxygenated beds, toilets and well-maintained bathrooms with hot water facilities.
Without receipt occurred, the Ministry of Health has transferred six doctors and six nurses to other hospitals.
Until now, Covid Hospital has one doctor, and one or two nurses.
“We are waiting for patients,” said one of the nurses.

Technical problem
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara (BBMP) war room has registered this hospital as a Magadi Road hospital, and not as a leprosy hospital as usual.
And this has caused confusion for patients.
Randeep D, Special Commissioner (Health and IT), BBMP said, “There may be a slight delay in adding this hospital to the list of hospitals that have all facilities
to treat covid patients.
We will create awareness among the people about this hospital and use it to the optimal level to treat covid patients.

He also added that the availability of beds in private hospitals and the government could be one reason why many patients may not be treated at Covid facilities in the place of the leprosy hospital.
