LUCKNOW: Akhilesh Yadav on Friday taunted the BJP to lose “one hurdle after another” and not fathoming SP strategy when he was inducted two ministers and six other MLAs who recently deserted the ruling alliance into his Samajwadi Party.
Apart from the six BJP MLAs – most of the Other Backward Classes – legislators of BJP ally Apna Dal (Sonelal) also joined the SP in a large public meeting in the party office complex here, against the norms Covid.
An official said the local government was investigating “violations”.
Election Commission has banned the election meeting until January 15.

Some districts and block-level politicians, in harmony with the various parties, also switched sides at the event.
But Dara Singh Chauhan, who has been out of the state cabinet, was not present.
Sources say he is likely to join the SP on Sunday.
