Widening Old Del Rd-Shankar Chowk: GMDA set deadline March 31

Gurgaon: Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has extended the deadline for completing road widening projects on 2km stretch among Old Delhi Road and Shankar Chowk from December 31 last year until March 31.
Nearly 30% of the project was still delayed, with work in the last part to Old Delhi Road jammed due to encroachment near the village of Dundahera.
“The deadline for the project has been moved to March 31.
The last part of the stretch near Dundahera Village has several encroachment.
After removing, the work can begin there.
The problem has been in court, so there is a delay,” said a senior official GMDA, who did not want to Named.
