Ahmedabad: Her husband died five years ago, but Asha Gupta still lives her struggle to clear her name in the 19-year-old extortion case she hangbuat.
The battle of the fruit bore on Tuesday when the Gujarat High Court stated Lalit Gupta Innocent in a criminal case in 2002.
Gupta with his friend, Raturnakar Rahurkar had been ordered on charges of extortion and intimidation by Raopura police.
In 2008, a Masters Court in Vadodara released two serious charges but considered them guilty of small charges and gave a simple prison for three years.
Two years later, the court session upholds confidence.
Both friends approached the High Court.
During their appeal suffering, Gupta died of cancer in March 2016.
His widow decided to join litigation to eliminate stigma of confidence and continue the legal battle for late liberation of her husband.
Usually, the appeal proposed by the Gupta will subside because of his death.
Last week, the High Court canceled a decision from a lower court and was released by Gupta and Rahurkar.
Make the duo, HC noted that the main witness for threats and demands had not been examined by prosecution.
The court did not even take a written statement of witnesses.
Gupta is the leader of the congress and his friend is a medium, but a lower court does not struggle to know the truth in this case.

After his release, Gupta’s oldest son, Hitesh, expressed satisfaction.
He said, “Even on his death bed, my father was worried about this case.
After his death, we decided to fight this case and clean his name.”
