Varanasi: It is a pilgrimage and the opportunity to shop for the wives of the main ministers of countries ruled by BJP, who accompanied their husbands to take part in the inauguration ceremony of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
During a two-day visit to City, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham on Monday.
The Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, along with Deputy CMS from Bihar and Nagaland were invited to take part in the event.
In addition, the National President of BJP Jagat Prakash Nadda and the National Secretary General (Organization) BL Santosh also took part in his functions.
On the second day his visit to Varanasi, PM held a meeting with the main ministers on Tuesday.
The meeting was attended by Yogi Adyityath from Uttar Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan from Madhya Pradesh, Pema Khandu from Arunachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur of Himachal Pradesh, Pushkar Singh Dhami from Uttarakhand, Hemant Buswa Sarma from Assam, Pramod Patel, Bhupendra Patel Gujarat, Manohar Lal Khattar from Haryana, Basavaraj Bommai from Karnataka, n Biren Singh from Manipur and Viplav Dev of Tripura.
While the CMS took part in the meeting, their wives visited the Trade Facilitation Center in the Bada Lalpur area to shop beautiful handslooms and Varanasi handicraft products.
They also offer prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Sankatmochan Temple.
In addition, they also visited Bharat Mandir in the Sigra area.
The CMS group along with their wives, led by Nadda, also visited PT Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Smriti UPVAN in the Sampão area at night.
They saw statues as high as 63 feet PT Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Museum in Memorial.
Nadda with his wife and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar also watched light and sound performances in Sarnath.
The main ministers are scheduled to visit Ayodhya for Darshan of Ram Lalla on Wednesday.
