Wild animals attack two men near tirupur

Coimbatore: Two men were attacked by an animal, said to be leopard, when they harvest corn plants in a village near Avinashi in the Tirupur district in Tamil Nadu on Monday morning.
Police said Varadarajan, 63, Pappankulam harvested harvest with agriculture identified as Maran, 66, when animals attacked them.
Maran suffered an injury on his face and neck.
Varadarajan suffered an injury on his shoulder.
Some villagers rushed to the place and helped the duo get treatment.
They also reminded Sevur police, which in turn gave a warning of the Ministry of Forestry.
The forest team was led by S N Tejasvi, Deputy Director of the reserve of Anamalai Tiger (Udumalpet Division), reached the place.
Forest officers say that they cannot confirm the animal that attacks the duo because they cannot see evidence like Pugmarks.
Except for the two men, no one else saw the animal, they said.
“We have established 12 camera traps in places mentioned by farmers.
We also use a drone camera to survey all corn plants and its surroundings.
We have brought a cage here, but it will be saved only after confirming the presence of animals,” he said.
He said that there was no incident of leopard appearance in the region.
There is no forest cover around it.
Located at least 30 km from Bhavani Sagar.
