Nagpur: While the judiciary takes effort to protect animal welfare, it seems there is no end of brutal atrocities against them in the city.
On Thursday night, a wild dog was beaten mercilessly because of death using stems by the residential guard in Sonegaon.
Incidentally, on the same day, the Nagpur bench from the High Court of the Bombay took Suo Motu’s awareness of the Toi report on the fate of the pension dog who had served the country.
The incident was reportedly lasts around 9pm after the Sameer Ukey animal activist who received a phone call.
“When we reached in place, the dog was in a terrible condition.
The animal had an itchy problem because it smelled.
From the information we got, the building guard wanted to get rid of the dog.
When it didn’t move away, the caretaker called several workers and they together The same starts beating it with a heavy bar, “said Ukey.
Ukey requested assistance from Karishma Galai Animal activist, who is also a member of the community for the prevention of cruelty of animals (SPCA).
“We immediately called for the ambulance and took the dog to the hospital.
But the injury was very bad so that the animal could not survive,” said Galani.
Senior Police Inspector Kishor Nagrery (Special Branch), who is also a member of the SPKA, helps activists in submitting the first information report in this case.
According to activists, the perpetrators identified “show no signs of regret”.
“They laughed at the police station, saying what losses in killing animals.
The population of educated people also seemed relieved that the dog was killed.
It is unfortunate that citizens do not have the sensitivity and basic awareness,” activists said.
In July this year, TOI reported about alleged mass murder of wild dogs by residents of the apartment scheme in Biga.
They allegedly poisoned 15-20 deviating in the range of 30 days.
The non-effectiveness operation of animal birth control (ABC) in the city is believed to be the main trigger of the brutal action.
“The population of dogs in the city has increased significantly.
