Udhagamandalam: A crazy elephant trampled a 37-year-old guy to death at Cherambadi woods array of Gudalur branch on Thursday.The victim was named as S Balakrishnan, a resident of Kurinji Nagar close Kolapalli at Cherambadi range.
“He had been carrying a morning walk around the Kurinji Nagar-Tantea Road, when he had been assaulted with the elephant round 6am.
Forest guards changed him into the Pandalur Government Hospital, but he died without reacting to therapy,” forest range officer Manoharan said.An first settlement of Rs 50,000 was passed on to the family of the sufferer.
“A crazy elephant has been seen at Kurinji Nagar at the previous four times.
Our field personnel are monitoring the region,” explained Manoharan.
