Nagpur: Even as Amravati MP Navnneet Rana is a pitching for the up-gradation of the meter-gauge railway line through the Matghat Tiger Reserve (MTR) in the Amravati district, the Minister of Railway Piyush Goyal has explained that the traffic jammed in that part cannot be taken without getting it License for wildlife.
The fact is clarified on July 5, 2021, by Goyal himself in a letter written for Rana, which has raised the problem at Lok Sabha on September 22, 2020, demanding the initial settlement of the Akola-Khandwa Conversion Project and the operation of the Shakuntala Railway line.
Goyal has said, from the 213.59km gauge conversion project akola-Khandwa, working on the akot-akot (44km) has been completed.
Working in the section of the Amalakhurd-Khandwa (53km) has been taken on available land, while working in the academic part of the amalachurd (77km) has been detained for wild permits.
Speaking with Toi, the shutter confirmed communication from Goyal and said he would continue to push for gradations to ride the railroad through a tiger reserve because it benefited many tribal villages.
“I was really surprised when the previous committee and even the Ministry of Forestry agreed to the project, why did U-turn taken? I will follow up on this problem,” he said.
In the midst of confusion, the train needs permission because it increases the line on the right of the road (line), this is the first time the Minister of the train has noted that wild permits are obliged to take traffic jams in the Tiger reserve section.
As reported on July 14, 2020, Minister Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray has rejected the proposal, asking the BJP government in the middle to complete alternative alternative alignment while increasing the railway line through the MTR.
Thackeray has explained to Goyal that “given the long-term impact of the conversion of gauges in endangered species such as tigers and habitats, will be appropriate to focus on alternative alignment.” Thackeray further shows, “We as a country have exhibited the achievement of the ‘tiger project’ to the world and Prime Minister Narendra MODI itself said that ‘conservation of tigers is not an option besides imperative.
Therefore, alternative alternativeness of the railroad from outside the tiger reserves must be supported .
“Even three times Shiv Sena MP from Bulldhana Prataprao Jadhav, who played a key role in pushing the train line, argued that if the alternative route was successful, at least 4 lakh people would immediately benefit.
New alignment will also be parallel with Samruddhi Mahamarg and increase regional development.
Jadhav, which plays an important role in pursuing Thackeray to say ‘no’ on the project, feel if the line is enhanced through MTR, 82 villages will benefit (47 in MPR).
“If the new alignment is successful, 212 villages will benefit (145 in Maharashtra and 67 in MP),” he said.
Destiny Shakuntala Hang in balancing the fate of the narrow gauges of Shakuntala (NG) between Yavatmal-Murtizapur-Achalpur and Arvi-Pulgaon (225km) Hang balanced.
Some of the NG parts are still owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway, known as CP Railway.
The proposal for the conversion of gauges from these parts is included in the capital investment program in 2017-18 to anticipate that the state government will take the project in a joint venture mode.
However, the proposed train is still not owned by the train Ministry and the proposal for determining the train agreement with CP Railway is still not final.
Until then the fate of the Shakuntala railroad could not be decided.
