Mumbai: Former Police Commissioner Mumbai Param Bir Singh – now suspended – which has been summoned by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with an open investigation into alleged complaints of corruption, has been communicated to the institution that he will not be able to attend their calls with short notice and notice Because of a pandemic, and has convinced to appear before the body after the third week of this month.
Officials ACB said that they had called Singh in connection with an open investigation of police complaints Inspector Anup Dange on January 10 and January 18 but he did not appear on both dates.
Previously, ACB officials said that they had not received communication about this but later, a senior ACB official confirmed that they found a letter from Singh’s lawyer.
Lawyer Singh Ancentuk Seth said, “ACB official statement was wrong that we did not communicate on the call date.
We have recognition from the ACB office where we have said that Singh will not be able to appear in a short time.
In the letter, my client has clearly stated that he was in Chandigarh and because of a pandemic, it would be fit and appropriate if ACB considers his presence after the third week period.
Through the letter, my client has also requested an agency to send if possible, questionnaire that desire ACB to ask that allows my clients to collect Data needed and fulfill demand.

“When we were doing two open questions against Singh, we had sent a call to Singh through a registered letter to his official residence in the first week of January asked him to appear on January 10 but he did not accept Singh and him communication.

ACB said that they had done more than 50 percent in investigation in this case and now wanted to record Singh’s statement relating to the allegations of dange about corruption.
Due complaints related to November 2019 when he was attached to the Marg Marg Police Station.

Dange was suspended on July 18, 2020.
