PANAJI: The Union Minister for Road Transportation and Jalan Raya Nitin Gadkari on Monday requested CM Pramod Sawant to plan a public transportation system that is fully powerful for the country.
Gadkari said that his ministry would provide funds for the project.
Gadkari said that even the possibility of using technology such as magnetic magnetic pod Elon Musk must be considered.
“Shirodkar (Shiroda Mla Subhash Shirodkar) said Goa had to get the metro.
PM has now submitted the responsibility of the Rope-Way, Cable Car, Funicular Railway too,” Gadkari told Sawant.
“You must be aware that Elon Musk has launched new technology that uses that you can travel between Delhi and Mumbai within two hours in a pod.
You are now planning a cave transportation system completely on electricity, and submitting a proposal to me and I convince (you) support I, “said the Union Minister to CM after Shirodkar demanded that Goa had to get a metro train.
He said that Goa must also explore the findings of new research for implementation, such as the use of old tire flakes on the road to reduce costs on a large scale.
“There is a T road near the cave airport that acts as a barrier, and I have told the official to come up with a solution to it.
We can build an underpass or flyover vehicle and make a signal intersection immediately,” Gadkari said.
He said he was happy that the new bridge above the Mandovi River had resolved the problem of traffic congestion.
“Whatever Manohar Parragar proposed for the development of Goa, I agree,” he said.
“He wants a new bridge to agree on the Mandovi River.
I told him that I could approve the central funds, but he said he would finish with state funds.
When he was sick, he said to me now Goa did not have funds to complete the project.
My secretary said It is difficult to provide current central funds to complete the state project.
But I told him that it must be done because it was the last wish of Parragar to see the bridge ready.
I then gave Rs 400 Crore for the Mandovi Bridge project.
“The decision to build a new airport on MAPA too Taken under Patrikar as cm, Gadkari said.
“Some obstacles appeared.
After the airport was completed, there was a need for road links.
Actually, the construction of the road must be done by the state.
But the Sawant Pramod came to me and said how we would collect so much money.
So, we declare this national highway and Spend 1,200 Rs for the construction of a 6 km high-colored road, “Gadkari said.
