PANAJI: Blaming BJP for trying to destroy the unique identity of Goa, Congress on Sunday said polls must be celebrated and recognized as a turning point in the history of Goa.
Congress said that after it formed the next government, it would give a poll on the same day the same day of liberation.
“Goa has a unique history and language and congress of respect Dinesh Gundu Rao.
Rao said that Congress always respects and maintains the unique identity of each country.
“Our leader Purushottam Kakodar, Jack Sequeira and others struggled to protect the identity of Goa.
Bring Congress to power and I assure you that the day of polls will be celebrated in a much larger way,” said the former BJP Minister Michael Lobo.
Lobo and Rao said that it was important for polls to remember in a greater way.
