Chandigarh: Minister of Manohar Minister Haryana Lal Khattar on Friday said the state government would fully implement new national education policies in 2025 and try to bring out the dropout rates to zero.
According to an official statement, Khattar said this launched NEP-2020 in the state.
He handled the meeting, including academics and students, who joined the launch ceremony held in Panchkula digitally.
“The NEP-2020 will be fully implemented in 2025.
Even though the deadline for its implementation until 2030, Haryana will reach this target five years before,” Khattar said.
He said Haryana aimed that with the 2025 school dropout number came to zero.
Along with education and work, NEP aims to make cultured students and “Atmanirbhar” so they can make important contributions to make India “Vishwa Teacher” once more, he said.
“Today, after 75 years of independence, the country needs such an educational policy, which not only makes the young generation educated but also instills a feeling of nationalism in it,” he said.
Khattar said the infrastructure needed to implement the NEP-2020 in Haryana was prepared with the aim of empowering students with knowledge, skills and values by providing quality education.
The minister’s chairman said according to new policy, around 4,000 Playway schools opened in the state, focusing on early age education.
So far, 1,135 schools have been opened, he added.
Kahttar said in the NEP-2020, the target of ensuring women’s participation in higher education has been set at 50 percent, which will be achieved by the state in 2025 from now on 32 percent.
On that occasion, Khattar announced that July 29 will be celebrated every year as a new day of education policy.
Today, the progress of the goals and objectives of the NEP-2020 will be reviewed, he said.
