Patna: Industrial Minister Shahnawaz Hussain on Thursday said 501 hectares of Bihar Industrial Area Development Development (BIRA) of land in all countries has been distributed among entrepreneurs who build their production units.
“Land distribution on a scale and in a short time is a note.
This is an indication that investors are willing to invest in Bihar and build their industrial production units.
Each of them has also paid the money charged on the ground,” Minister said to MediodPersons here.
He hopes Bihar will appear as one of the main ethanol production centers in the country.
“So far, the offer of 29 companies to build a unit for ethanol production in the country has been cleaned.
Their combined proposal is to produce 168 crore liters of ethanol,” he said.
The State Investment Promotion Board headed by the Development Commissioner has received a Project Proposal worth 35,000 Crore, said the Minister, added that after the framing of ethanol policy, the work has begun in the preparation of the state-state textile and skin policy.
He said that not one single company told him verbally or wrote that the electricity level in the state was higher than in other countries.
“I haven’t heard anyone talking about it,” Hussain said.
