Kolkata: Head of West Bengal Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said he would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Delhi, and increased the problem of increasing BSF’s jurisdiction and “extensive violence” in Tripura.
Banerjee also said he might not join Dharna which was performed by TMC MPS in protest against “attacks on party workers” in Tripura, but would definitely express solidarity with them.
Hit Amit Shah, Supremo TMC said the minister of assistance assistance “has not shown politeness” and met with MPS TMC, who had sought hearings with him for the violence in Tripura.
“During my visit to Delhi, I will meet the Prime Minister.
Apart from the various related problems, I will raise a problem regarding the increase in BSF’s jurisdiction and Tripura’s hardness,” he told reporters before leaving for Delhi.
Banerjee wondered why the human rights commission “did not take notes” from the use of sustainable violence in the northeastern state.
“The Chief Minister of Tripura (BIPLAB DEB) and his government opposed SC direction.
They have to return ordinary people.
I will appeal to a higher court to act against his government in accordance with the law,” he said.
The Supreme Court has asked the Tripura Government to ensure that there are no political parties in the commotion for the election of the upcoming local bodies “prevented to pursue their election rights in accordance with the law, and from the campaign in a peaceful and orderly way”.
